THE VALE MEN'S SECTION

A Warm Welcome from your Captain for 2024

Welcome to the Vale Golf Club, my name is Toby Bartlett and I have the honour of being the Men's Club Captain for 2024. 

Can I introduce myself and welcome you to the Vale Golf Club and our own fantastic Men's Section. 

Whether you are intending on entering full on into competition golf or simply enjoy playing socially, we look forward to helping you feel involved in all that our brilliant section has to offer.

There are six monthly White tee Medals starting with Medal 1 in April, running through the playing season to Medal 6 in September.  These medals are set among some 12 other main board competitions, Summer matchplay knockouts and three Open Competitions including our renowned golfing test, the mighty Blue Monster with the course set up at 7500 yards. 

All of our events are built around the highlight of the year being the Club Championships played over two days in July.

We run monthly mid week Yellow tee competitions from April to October and these are a great way of managing and improving your handicap, if are able to play mid week golf.  Also in the Summer months, we run the social highlight of the week which is 'Club Night', this is a nine hole round of social golf every Thursday night being a great way of meeting people and potentially winning some excellent prizes.

For those looking for a more relaxed test of golf, we also run an array of competitions on our beautiful Lenches course throughout the year, which is the perfect place for anyone looking to start out in competition golf or just wants to maintain their handicap in a great social atmosphere. 

All of this seasons competitions are now open to enter now once you have opened your Intelligent Golf account, although you will need an active handicap to get started. 

You can do this online to register at https://thevale.intelligentgolf.co.uk/  and you can also download the app, which is a fantastic addition to playing competition golf.  You will find competition entry sheets which appear on the Competition notice board in the men’s changing rooms whilst I also take email entry requests for competitions.

The Men's Section enjoys the use if the International Course nearly every Sunday throughout the year and on non competition weekends we run the Men's Sunday Stableford, which is qualifying from April to November.
