THE LADIES SECTION

The Vale ladies section extends a warm welcome to golfers of all ages and abilities to join in all events during the year, both competition and social.

Our ladies day is Tuesday when we play our organised competitions throughout the year.  During the winter months we try to incorporate team match play, team alliance and individual competitions to enable us to be match fit when new season starts in spring.

Tuesday Competition

Starting in spring and throughout summer months into autumn, we play a mix of Medals; Stableford and other formats.

In winter months we offer both 18 holes and 9 holes of golf giving wider choice to our ladies also we encourage everyone to come along for lunch or just a coffee to meet everyone.

Thursday Roll up

We also offer a 9 hole Stableford on either International or Lenches course every week and our Roll up organiser ensures you have a tee time. This is an ideal way for new lady members to meet everyone and for ladies new to golf to learn the Rules and gain a handicap .

Weekend golf competitions

Sunday mornings we also offer Medals, Stableford competitions and during the winter months a winter challenge once a month, also various fun formats, open to all 7 day lady members. You will be given a warm welcome.

Matches

We currently run teams in the following

• The Inter County Scratch League;
• The Droitwich League;
• Ladies friendly matches;
• Mixed friendly matches;
• Mixed club competitions throughout the year.
  

Open Competitions

The ladies section runs 3 Ladies Open competitions through the summer months and 2 Mixed Competitions:

Charity AMAM; 3 Ball Alliance; Pairs Betterball; Mixed Throckmorton Trophy (27 Holes) and Mixed Valerie Gittings Trophy

Ladies Section Committee

The Section is run by a committee including a Captain who serves for 1 year.

The ladies section is made up of the following posts;

• Lady Captain;
• Vice Captain;
• Hon Secretary; 
• Hon Treasurer;
• Competition Secretary;
• Handicap Secretary;

The Ladies Captain and Vice Captain serve on the Clubs' management committee along with the Senior Section Captain and Vice Captain and the Men's Captain and Vice Captain together with club management representatives.
